WHAT IS GROW UP?
Most people who arrive here have already spent years trying to understand themselves. And still, a piece is missing. It's the one that quietly pulls us out of our center.
Patterns, attachment, emotions, therapy, retreats and trainings. Some of us have become teachers ourselves. And yet, even after all that inner work, there are a few places where we keep losing ourselves:
• in romantic relationships
• in parenting, and with our own parents
• in working with people: as therapists, coaches, facilitators, leaders, space holders
Grow Up is the practice of embodying adult consciousness. It tends to exactly that missing piece:
The gap between what we know and how we actually live.
It's learning to stay with ourselves while life is happening. Not only on the mat with our eyes closed, but in how we move through the kitchen when we're tired, how we speak to our partner when we feel unseen, how we parent when we're overstimulated.
Can I feel when a part in me awakens, and still have enough grown-up presence to pause, speak, repair, set a boundary, or simply not make the moment bigger than it is?
It's about not losing ourselves when it matters.
WHY IT HAPPENS
Younger parts are still quietly driving us
Often very young ones, whose survival strategies are so good that we identify with them. They turn us into the romantic lover, the super-parent, the helper who carries everyone else, and still we disappear. It surfaces as stress, physical symptoms, relational drama, self-judgment, an endless to-do list, no time to rest.
In Grow Up we strengthen the adult consciousness: the steady centerline that brings us back, and holds the younger parts.
IT ISN’T
Becoming perfect, calm, or fully healed. Removing our patterns. Never being triggered again.
IT IS
Noticing when we're no longer really here, and finding our way back. Each time, the grown-up takes the steering wheel.
SO WHAT IS GUMP?
Where the integration actually happens
The Grow Up Membership Program is an online community where we do this work together. Retreats open us; integration is another thing entirely. GUMP is where we practice it, from our living rooms, where life actually happens.
It's an uncoupling program: with honesty and compassion, we learn to place our reactions and survival mechanisms where they belong, instead of letting them run the present moment.
This is not trauma healing. You don't have to heal every part to become a functioning adult. But you do need to recognize when old reactions take over, and place them where they belong.
HOW WE WORK
A psychosomatic education, rooted in Somatic Experiencing and NARM.
• Weekly live online sessions, with real life brought into the room
• Movement, embodiment and somatic work
• Joy, dance and play alongside the deeper work
• Capacity-building, not emotional release. We learn to stay with the parts
I sometimes call this trauma fun. Not because trauma is fun, but because we need friendship, rhythm and aliveness to hold what's difficult.

PAUSE YOUR MEMBERSHIP
Life can get in the way
I know life can get in the way. If a six-month commitment feels like a lot, you're welcome to pause your membership whenever you need. Just let me know how long you'd like to pause, and we'll pick up right where you left off when you're ready.
Note that you can pause your membership but not the payment plan (if you have one).
Members lose themselves less. They understand their reactions through the body, not only the intellect. The grown-up takes up more space, and that brings more freedom and choice.
Life's situations remain: relationships, children, work, conflict, uncertainty, illness, endings, beginnings. But they stop feeling so threatening. When less energy goes into old patterns, more becomes available for what we're actually here to live.
WHAT SHIFT OVER TIME
If something still takes over in the moments that matter, GUMP is the space to practice returning, and to receive the mirroring you need.
INVITATION
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
The Grow Up Membership Program runs over six months in a repeating cycle that guides you through each core module:

Naming, tracking, and befriending your feelings and patterns.
02

Exploring your inner patterns of connection and security, and understanding and distinguishing behaviours from an inner child or a mature you.
04
Attachment
Discovering what truly nourishes and delights you, and crafting it into a resource to deal with difficulties.
Self-Sourced pleasure
05
Conscious Relating
06
Practicing presence and honest communication in relationships. Weaving embodiment, intimacy, and transcendence.
Spiritual & sexual connections
Connecting to your center so you embody your values and intentions in real time.
07
Standing in Alignment
Because each theme builds on the last and then circles back, you can join at different points in the cycle and never feel "behind." You'll get access to pre-recorded lessons and exercises for every module, so you always have the tools and context you need to dive in deeply, wherever you start. Each session is unique and doesn't happen twice.
This is not theory. It's embodied practice that
transforms how you live, love, and relate, through the wisdom of your body.

The work behind the work
-
Many spiritual traditions speak of oneness, of being connected, part of something bigger. That's an important truth. But growing up includes another movement: learning to stand in ourselves without dissolving into others. Many of us swing between merging with others and retreating into ourselves. Some do it gracefully, but that is still a survival strategy, not adult consciousness.
-
The grown-up capacity is to belong and stay in myself at the same time: to be in connection and still know where I end and another begins; to care deeply without becoming responsible for everything around me. This is the process of individuation, and for many of us it was not fully supported growing up.
-
Our tendency to merge is what makes us lose ourselves, whether in relationships, with our children, with clients, in work itself. The answer isn't only “take your space” or “set boundaries.” It's recognizing that the part of us that merges or disconnects is driven by fear, and learning not to let it drive. It's especially hard when merging feels good. As Laurence Heller, founder of NARM, puts it: “Connection: our deepest desire and greatest fear.”
-
This fear of separation doesn't only belong to people with clearly identified trauma. It can be a stressed or sick parent, a complicated birth, the arrival of a sibling. Most of us come from families that, for generations, haven't had the capacity to stay fully present, and instead disconnect or merge. From this view, we all carry it; our survival strategies took over where belonging and authenticity could have grown.
-
Grow Up is the slow practice of untangling this tendency to merge, even where part of us still longs for it. We learn to set boundaries without disconnecting or “leaving.” We stay with ourselves and be with others at the same time, reconnecting with the healthy parts of our ancestors instead of the wounded ones.
-
A big part of the work is separating what we think we want from the real needs of our younger parts. The needs are often simple: rest, contact, space, clarity, support, protection, permission. But listening to them is hard, because underneath we often meet grief, shame, or fear of separation that we don't yet have the capacity to hold.
-
As we learn to uncouple these parts from the present moment and tend to their needs, we become more secure from the inside. Here, secure attachment isn't grounded in feeling safe with others, but in being so stable within that we can belong while staying in ourselves.
-
For ages, belonging-while-being-ourselves was practiced in community through rhythm, movement and ritual. Today we call it nervous-system co-regulation, and these ancient tools are necessary for growing up. That's why GUMP is a shared space, where dance, play and loving presence help us hold what's difficult. I call it “trauma fun.” Not because trauma is fun, but because we need aliveness to meet the pain. We don't lose ourselves in the fun, or in the pain. We learn to balance the two.
